When you ring the Advice Line for the first time, you will speak first to one of our main advice team.

FirstStop main advice team

The team is based in London and Walton-on-the-Naze in Essex. They are Frances Auger, Nick Coote, Debbie Currivan, John Plimsoll and Dominic Regan.

If you need more specialist information or advice, you may be invited to speak to one of our specialist teams. Once you have spoken to any of our specialist staff, they will give you their direct dial number in case you want to contact them again.

FirstStop care specialists

Our care specialists are based in the charity Counsel and Care, in London.

We also work closely with Compassion in dying, a national charity that supports people at the end of life to have what they consider to be a good death.

FirstStop finance specialists

Our finance specialists are based in the organisations that make up FirstStop's panel of Independent Financial Advisors. The organisations are: Assent Financial Consultancy, Care Fees Investment Ltd, Elder Care Solutions, equityCare, Just Retirement Solutions, Parker Castle and The Wealth Care Partnership.

In addition we have arrangements with the Consumer Credit Counselling Service and Turn2us, to enable our clients to benefit from their specialisms.

FirstStop legal specialists

The Association of Independent Visitors UK (AIVUK) and Quality Solicitors Truemans provide our specialist legal advice.

Any information you provide about yourself will be available to Advisors in each of the FirstStop partner organisations, so that you don’t have to tell your story afresh if you need to speak to more than one.

We will not share your information with anyone else without your permission, and we will look after any information you provide in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
