A community alarm is for for summoning help in case of emergency. All kinds of emergencies are covered, from accidents and sudden health problems to anxiety or panic. Pull cords are installed around the home and subscribers can opt also to wear a pendant or wrist band with a call button. When a call for help is made, this is routed via your telephone to a response service, along with details of your name and address. Response service staff will have access to any personal data you have provided in advance. They will speak to you if possible, and if necessary alert a neighbour, family or the emergency services.
