Scottish Secure Tenancy
The Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 established the Scottish Secure Tenancy (SST) as the tenancy for all tenants of social housing in Scotland. In some circumstances, for example when an organisation provides temporary housing for people needing or receiving housing support services, a Short SST will be used. A Short SST will provide security of tenure for a limited period.
