Care & Repairs Leeds has received an award for 'Excellence in delivering a housing options service', with Care & Repair Worcestershire also receiving a commendation.
The Home Improvement Agency Awards 2011 were presented at a special event hosted by Foundations at the House of Lords on 23rd June. Winners were celebrated in 8 categories and 5 commendations made. Baronesss Sally Greengross opened the event and Baroness Kay Andrews also made a lively presentation. Several current MPs attended to support the event, which was sponsored by Mears, Stannah and DCLG.
FirstStop works closely with Home Improvement Agencies across the country, many of whom provide 'housing options advice' services. We were particularly pleased therefore that a new prize category was introduced this year to celebrate the great work they do - and even more pleased to find that the two winners were both HIAs with which FirstStop has a longstanding formal partnership.
