A ground breaking partnership has seen FirstStop Advice joining forces with Warwickshire County Council, the county’s 5 District Councils and other local statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver FirstStop Warwickshire, a housing options advice service for older people.
The service will add to and help consolidate current housing advice services by adding a dedicated website under the FirstStop Warwickshire brand, a telephone advice line available weekdays from 9am to 5pm, and a team of two local Housing Options Advisors. Through it, local older people, their families and carers and professionals working with or advising older people, can access in-depth information and advice tailored to the local area.
FirstStop Warwickshire provides information, advice, advocacy and support to older people living in poor or unsuitable housing who wish to consider alternative housing options. Kieran Chuttha and Samantha Braddish its two Advisors - they are contactable by telephone and can also arrange to meet clients for 'face-to-face' discussion.
