News about us
De-clutter your home!
We are currently recruiting for two Specialist Caseworkers to work on a new project to support people who need some help to de-clutter their home. We have secured funding for a year from Orbit’s Community Investment Fund to help us to establish the project and support our other services. Anyone who needs help to clear rooms so that they can have adaptations fitted will get the support they need to recycle, store or clear their belongings. The support will be based on a therapeutic working relationship based on trust and respect. We will also offer the service to anyone who needs or wants to de-clutter for other reasons. The Caseworkers will be based in Suffolk and Coventry.
It is estimated that around 2% of the population have tendencies to hoard items that impacts on their health and wellbeing. This new project will build on work started by Orbit’s Hoarding Training and Development Officer to develop a Compulsive Hoarding Toolkit to help guide and support organisation’s when working with clients with hoarding tendencies.
